Imran Khan withdraws NA-193 Rajan Pur’s candidature

PTI Chairman withdrew nomination in order to avoid losing, says PML-N’s Awais Leghari

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has withdrawn his nomination papers for candidature in Rajan Pur’s elections and has written a letter to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in this regard as well.

Imran Khan will be replaced by Mohsin Leghari as the PTI’s candidate for the Rajanpur by-election.

Imran Khan had previously announced his candidature for the NA-193 Rajanpur by-election and has now filed a plea to have his papers withdrawn. In his place former provincial finance minister Sardar Mohsin Leghari will represent the PTI in the Rajanpur by-election.

On the other side, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) leader Awais Leghari has criticized Imran Khan claiming that Khan withdrew his nomination for the NA-193 by-election in Rajanpur in order to avoid losing.

Imran Khan wanted to keep his respect in Rajanpur, Leghari said in a jab at the ousted leader, adding that Imran’s popularity drama in South Punjab was made public.

Leghari stated, “Imran’s promise of making the province of South Punjab turned out to be bogus as the PTI exposed severely in the region.”
