Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday announced to file of a disqualification reference against those who brought a resolution on the Supreme Court’s decision regarding elections in Punjab.

In a meeting with PTI President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at Lahore Zaman Park, Imran Khan discussed the distribution of party tickets in Punjab and directed to finalize the candidate within a week.

Khan asserted that the election will take place, no matter how much the “imported government cries”.

He said, “We are filing a reference of disqualification against those who brought a resolution on the decision of SC, and the people are ready to come out on the streets for the protection of the judiciary and the supremacy of the Constitution.”

Speaking on the occasion, PTI President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that unconstitutional resolutions could not stop the implementation of the Supreme Court’s order.

“After the elections, the journey of development and prosperity will start again in Punjab,” he said.

Pervaiz Elahi added that Nawaz Sharif has followed in the footsteps of the founder of MQM sitting in London, and advised him to learn a lesson from the fate of the founder of MQM.

“Due to the foolish decisions of Maryam Nawaz, Rana Sana, and Azam Nazir Tarar, the government has come to a closed street and now it has no option,” he said.
