In-house change in Balochistan benefitted opposition: Jam

Former Balochistan chief minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani decried the Abdul Quddus Bizenjo government on Thursday, saying that the opposition was benefitting from the shift of government.

Talking to the media, the former CM said that transparent politics was need of the hour in Balochistan, adding that “no change had come to his stance”, insisting that he always stood for the right things and was against the government and the opposition for several reasons. “I still hold the same stance for the government and the opposition as I had in the past,” he said.

He alleged that an MPA of the Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) attended the party meeting of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and travelled with Quddus in an airplane. He told the BNP-M to admit that their ideology had changed, and added that they must not claim before the public that they had no terms with Quddus-led government.

Alyani claimed that the opposition was fully supporting the government and vice versa.

“Hammal Kalmati in Gwadar, Sardar Akhtar Mengal in Khuzdar, Sana Baloch and Akhtar Hussain Langove in Quetta supported the Quddus government,” he maintained, stressing that they should openly accept their support for the government.

He further said that they were using Quddus and getting benefits for their respective regions. He clarified that he had no issues if they (the opposition) were bringing developments in their regions, “but showing no links with the government was a matter” of concern.
