Indian naval forces intruded into Pakistan’s territorial waters and took away 10 Pakistani fishermen from Kharochan, along with their vessel on Saturday evening.

According to officials of the Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum, around 10 fishermen of Thatta District ventured into high seas for fishing on January 7 in their vessel Al-Yaseen.

The Indian forces intercepted them near Kanjar Creek, arrested them, and also captured the vessel. They alleged that the fisherman had violated international law by entering into Indian territorial waters. The PFF officials claimed that Kanjar Creek is within the territorial jurisdiction of Pakistan and Indian forces had violated the international law by barging into the territorial waters.

The detained fishermen included Mir Ronjo, Arab, Maqbool, Ghulam Hussain Shah, Sattar Katiyar, and others.
