India-China clash on LAC injure soldiers of both sides

In Friday’s clash soldiers on both sides received minor injuries, forces withdrew by both countries

India and China have clashed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh in which some soldiers were injured.

According to Reuters, the clash took place on Friday in which some soldiers on both sides received minor injuries and after that, the forces of both countries withdrew.

The Indian Foreign Ministry did not immediately comment on the incident.

The clash has been going on since 2006 due to the boundary dispute on the Tawang sector of the LAC.

In Arunachal Pradesh, various areas of the Tawang sector were being patrolled by both sides under their respective claims of demarcation. On Friday Chinese troops crossed the LAC and were stopped by the Indian Army with full force, according to Indian media.

This is the first time that the two armies had come face-to-face after clashes between India and China in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley in June 2020.

20 Indian and four Chinese soldiers were killed in the Galwan valley clash.

After the clashes, India moved about 50,000 troops against Chinese forces in Laddakh.

Following the disengagement agreement between the two countries, Chinese troops dismantled dozens of structures built to evacuate all camps from the banks of Pangong lake in Laddakh and moved with vehicles.

India and China share a 3,800 kilometres long border where the armies of the two countries previously adhered to long-established protocols to avoid using any firearms along the border.
