Pakistani fashion designer Ali Xeeshan’s lehenga for actor Swara Bhaskar, who recently wed Fahad Ahmad, is doing the rounds on the social media among Indian fashion lovers.

Swara Bhaskar has been posting photos of their wedding celebrations on social media. She recently complimented Pakistani fashion designer Ali Xeeshan for making the lehenga for her Walima in a post on Twitter.

Swara uploaded stunning images of her and described how her lehenga travelled from Lahore to Bareilly with stops in Dubai, Mumbai, and New Delhi. Swara noted that the “warmth and kindness” of the Lahore-based designer made her respect the guy that he is.

Swara further said that Ali Xeeshan had delivered specially made “Jodi costumes” for her and her husband Fahad Ahmad. She said the designer had “painstakingly customized them with personalized features and messages sewn into the magnificent clothing.”

The clothing, according to her, was transported to Dubai by one of her friends, Annie Zaman, so that they could be transferred to India.

Swara continued by saying that despite never having met her, the designer had made her “dream costume” for her. “Love and friendship cannot be contained in borders and boundaries,” wrote the politically outspoken actor.

During the 2020 anti-CAA demonstrations, Swara and Fahad first spoke. He is a Samajwadi Party leader. In February, the couple filed for marriage registration. Tuesday saw the conclusion of their wedding celebrations with a Walima thrown by Fahad’s family.
