A distressing incident unfolded in the outskirts of Jati Taluka, located in Sujawal district, as a 16-year-old girl became the victim of abduction and molestation allegedly perpetrated by Maher Ali Samejo, the son of Ishaque Samejo, the Chairman of Union Council Mugerben. The incident was reported by Parveen Dhandal, who informed local media representatives about the harrowing incident on Saturday.

According to Dhandal’s account, Maher Ali Samejo, accompanied by four armed individuals, forcibly entered their residence during the midnight hours. The assailants then abducted the girl and took her to a remote farmland. There, she was subjected to physical and sexual assault against her will.

The victim’s parents shared the traumatic ordeal, explaining that they discovered their daughter in a semi-conscious state. They immediately took her to a nearby police station, where they acquired a medical examination letter. Subsequently, she was transferred to a hospital for medical attention.

The father of the victim, in a grave accusation, implicated the influential Union Council chairman in obstructing a proper investigation by the police. He alleged that the accused, along with his associates, enjoyed the support of local political leaders. This alleged backing has raised concerns about the safety and well-being of the victim’s family.

As the community grapples with this disturbing incident, it underscores the need for a comprehensive investigation to ensure justice for the victim and to address any potential interference that might hinder the course of justice.
