According to media reports, the case has been handed over to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for further investigation. The shooter, Naveed, is also in CTD custody now and has been moved to the headquarters of CTD in Lahore for investigation.

Police arrested two more suspects who were responsible for supplying the prime weapon to Naveed. According to the media reports, Police confirmed that two suspects identified as Waqas and Sajid Butt have been arrested for investigation over supplying the weapon.

Both accused had been arrested from Wazirabad. Naveed had paid Rs20,000 for the pistol and bullets while the serial number of the gun was also scrapped, according to the report.
