International media has reported that Iran has executed two individuals who were involved in the attack on Shah Cheragh Shrine last week.

Media reports stated that the attack took place in October last year, resulting in the death of 13 people, and the responsibility for the attack was claimed by ISIS.

Both individuals were executed by hanging in the southern city of Shiraz before sunrise.

During the trial, both attackers reportedly revealed that they had connections with ISIS in neighboring Afghanistan and received assistance from there for the attack on Shah Cheragh Shrine.

Media reports also mentioned that CCTV footage of the shrine attack showed the assailants entering the shrine premises and concealing their weapons in a bag, and the firing occurred when the visitors tried to flee and hide.
