Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its role and initiative in facilitating efforts aimed at reaching an understanding with the United States.

In a statement shared on his official X account, President Pezeshkian said Iran appreciates Pakistan’s “initiative and effective efforts” in supporting dialogue with Washington. He added that Iran’s policy focuses on strengthening cooperation with Muslim and neighboring countries in all fields.

The Iranian president made these remarks following separate telephone conversations with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. He also thanked Malaysia for its humanitarian stance during the discussions.

Iranian media reports suggested that Pezeshkian’s comments may indicate progress toward a Pakistan-facilitated diplomatic understanding between Tehran and Washington. However, no official confirmation of a finalized agreement has been issued by any of the involved parties.

According to reports, Pakistan has played a mediating role between Iran and the United States during recent months of heightened regional tensions. Islamabad reportedly helped facilitate communication channels and supported efforts aimed at reducing hostilities and promoting dialogue.
