Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan has asked the Supreme Court judges if Article 14 of the Constitution was only for the powerful.

In a tweet, Imran Khan stated that Article 14 of the Constitution has declared human dignity to be sacred. He has further stated that therefore his question to the honourable judges of the Supreme Court was whether the application of this article of the Constitution was limited to the powerful authorities of the state because for everyone else even the fundamental right of human dignity was not protected.

In a series of tweets, PTI Chairman said that Senator Azam Swati was stripped, tortured and humiliated by sending an obscene video to his wife and for weeks he had waited for justice from the Supreme Court but his efforts proved futile.

He stated that when he reacted (to these abuses) out of understandable anger and frustration then he was put behind bars and at least 15 FIRs were lodged against him across the country.

Imran questioned in the end that he was again asking the esteemed judges where was the justice in all this. He asked further if Article 14 of the Constitution will remain discriminatorily applicable only to high and powerful state officials.
