Israeli strikes kill 10 Palestinians, including three children, in Gaza City

GAZA CITY: At least 10 Palestinians, including three children, were killed in a fresh wave of Israeli attacks across Gaza City on Saturday, according to Palestinian health officials and local media, as violence continued to devastate the besieged enclave despite repeated international calls for restraint.

The deadliest strike occurred early in the morning in Gaza City’s Nasr neighborhood, where an Israeli airstrike hit a residential building sheltering a family. According to Arab media reports, five members of the same family were killed, including three children and their parents. One child survived the attack after reportedly being outside the building when the strike occurred.

The latest casualties add to the growing humanitarian toll in Gaza, where civilians continue to bear the brunt of the conflict. Rescue teams and local residents searched through the rubble in desperate efforts to recover victims and assist survivors, while scenes of destruction highlighted the worsening conditions across the territory.

In a separate incident, a Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli forces in the Frousia area of Gaza, local reports said. Meanwhile, in the southern city of Khan Younis, Israeli military operations continued, with witnesses reporting the demolition of additional residential buildings.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that 19 bodies had been brought to hospitals across Gaza over the previous 48 hours, reflecting the continued intensity of military operations. Medical officials warned that hospitals remain overwhelmed by the steady flow of casualties, while shortages of medicine, fuel and medical supplies continue to hamper emergency response efforts.

According to the ministry, 1,144 Palestinians have been killed and 3,703 others injured since the ceasefire agreed in October 2025, which Palestinian authorities say has been repeatedly violated by Israeli military actions.

The overall death toll in Gaza has now reached 73,269 Palestinians, while more than 173,811 people have been wounded since the conflict began, the ministry added. The figures could not be independently verified, and Israel has previously questioned casualty data released by Gaza health authorities.

The renewed bloodshed comes amid mounting international concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with aid organizations warning that civilians continue to face severe shortages of food, clean water, shelter and healthcare.

Despite ongoing diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and secure a lasting ceasefire, violence has continued across the enclave, leaving thousands of families displaced and deepening fears of further civilian casualties in the days ahead.
