Judge of politically engineered Panama case is still in spotlight, says Irfan Qadir

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Irfan Qadir said that political engineering was tested through the Panama case, a judge of this case is still at the forefront of the Supreme Court.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Irfan Qadir said that the important issues of the country were related to the judiciary and parliament.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister said that the institutions working according to the constitution are respected, according to the constitution, the individual cannot be given control of the country.

He said “I’ll place some important cases in front, judicialization of politics continued, attempts were made to run politics on its own, the court took the matter up by punishing Yousaf Gilani, Yousuf Gilani’s disqualification was a violation of the law.”

Irfan Qadir said that Nawaz Sharif was removed and Imran Khan became the Prime Minister on the Panama case, political engineering was tested through the Panama case.

The special assistant said that Nawaz Sharif was disqualified for life, while there is no mention of lifelong disqualification in the constitution. He said that Nawaz Sharif survived politically despite all the decisions, he was also banned from becoming the party head.

Irfan Qadir said that our government wanted to strengthen the courts, judges should be appointed in the Supreme Court on the basis of seniority.
