Defense Minister Khawaja Asif took a dig at Aitzaz Ahsan and called him a ‘traitor’ for questioning the acquittal of Sharif family from corruption cases.
On Friday, while talking to the media in Islamabad, Khawaja Asif said that Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and Hamza Shehbaz’s acquittal in cases was questioned by many sections.
He stated that they had gone through all processes, faced cases, and even went to jail to show respect to court orders.
The defence minister said they had faced many cases, and had not gotten justice because of any deal, but due to proper process.
He also blamed Aitzaz Ahsan for acquiring the LPG quota for his wife.
Khawaja Asif mentioned that in the last three months, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has met around 40 heads of state.
“Pakistan’s image that was tarnished by the Imran Khan Government in the last three years has changed,” he said.
Khawaja Asif stated that Shehbaz Sharif had met some heads of state three times in this period and it has improved relations with brotherly countries like China, Russia, UK, US, and Gulf countries.
