Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Khawaja Asif has refused to support talks with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), saying talks with PTI is a waste of time.
Talking to the media, Khawaja Asif said that he did not think there was any crisis situation in the country at the moment. He said that if separate elections are held in the country, the country will suffer irreparable damage.
The Defense Minister said that even if there was a tense situation at this time, how it could be argued that early elections should be held. He said that that they will definitely give their opinion, the party decided of holding talks.
The Defense Minister said that there was no such thing that the government is afraid of the popularity of Imran Khan. Elections across the country will be held on a single day in October, he said, adding that he thinks there will be no elections before October.
