Khayaali Production to finally release its fan-made Harry Potter film

Khayaali Production, a broadcasting and media production company based in Pakistan and incorporating young film-makers from notable educational institutions of Lahore, made a fan-made film on the famous Harry Potter series around two years ago.

Titled as The Last Follower and the Resurrection of Voldemort, the film was shot in the gothic-styled building of Government College University. However, it could not be screened earlier owing to some incomprehensible policies of the former vice chancellor. Asghar Zaidi, the university’s current VC, however, encouraged the film-makers to bring their work to the university students and Harry Potter fans alike to watch and enjoy.

As a result, the production house in collaboration with GCU has now finally decided to release the film incorporating the finest of the institution’s students, most of them having remained a part of GCU’s dramatics club. Directed by Waleed Akram, a graduate in English Language Teaching, the film, as its trailer tells, promises a professional use of incredible visuals, doing justice to the fantasy genre of the film.

The Last Follower will be screened on the 29th of November at GCU along with a Harry Potter festival. The online booking for attending the screening is taking place and will close on the 10th of November.
