Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, has demonstrated his steadfast commitment to his beliefs by declining to wear the emblem of a fictitious betting organization on his Colombo Strikers shirt for the next Lanka Premier League (LPL) season.

Several betting companies make slight name changes and sign on as sponsors in various T20 competitions. Babar Azam, on the other hand, has made a strong decision not to wear their insignia on his jersey.

According to reports, he even included this need in his contract with the Colombo Strikers, and the team decided to comply with his requests.

Babar is prepared to captain the Colombo Strikers in the LPL, which is slated to take place between July 30 and August 22.

Before the LPL, which will be a part of the World Test Championship for the next cycle, Pakistan is slated to travel to Sri Lanka for a two-match Test series.

In the second week of August, the Men in Green are anticipated to play Afghanistan in a three-match ODI series. Therefore, it is expected that the Pakistani captain will have part-time availability for the LPL.

Babar Azam, who just got back to Pakistan from undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage, will take part in the training camp in Karachi to be ready for the aforementioned visit to Sri Lanka.
