KP Government served 2-million with Sehat Card in 7 years

Since the Sehat Card program’s inception seven years ago the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has offered free healthcare to two million individuals with those in the 30–50 age range being the major beneficiaries.

A study created by the Sehat Card Plus program states that since 2015, 552,266 KP inhabitants in the 31–50 age group, 500,506 in the 11–30 age group, and 450,681 in the 51–70 age group have used the cashless healthcare system.

Additionally, 121,951 children under the age of 10 and 149,629 adults over the age of 71 were recipients of the PTI government’s signature micro-health Insurance scheme.

With the help of the German bank the initiative was introduced in four areas in 2015 serving 3% of the province’s population. It was expanded to 51% of the populace the next year, 69% in 2017, and the whole province in 2020.
