Speaking at the federal cabinet meeting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that KP was at the mercy of terrorists during the last 10 years of the PTI administration.
Shahbaz Sharif further said that the scourge of terrorism is raising its head again; the question is who brought these terrorists back? How did Pakistan’s peace deteriorate again? Who said they are jihadis and friends of Pakistan? Who said they surrendered and will contribute to the development of the country?
He further questioned the use of money received by the federal government to KP in the last 10 years.
He also claimed, “KP is getting even getting 1% extra from net proceeds since 2010 which makes it 417 billion as per calculation.”
He inquired where were these Rs 417 billion used?
“The administration claims that we did not get money but they got 40 billion annually, this money was given to be used for the betterment of the police and security forces, but god knows where the money went,” the PM asked.
The Prime Minister said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa received Rs40 billion annually, and no other province received it, the four provinces together gave this money, for the last ten years KP was left at the mercy of terrorists, there was the PTI government for the last ten years.
The Prime Minister vowed to eliminate terrorism through collective efforts and said that if appropriate steps were not taken immediately, terrorism will spread in Pakistan.
