The Hajj 2026 rituals have officially begun. Pilgrims have started moving through the major stages of Hajj. Large groups of worshippers reached Mina from Makkah.

Pakistani and international pilgrims arrived in Mina in organized convoys. The area is currently hosting around 2 million Muslims from across the world. The atmosphere in Mina remained filled with continuous prayers and religious chants of “Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik.”

Pilgrims offered their Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha prayers in Mina. Many spent the night in worship. Recitation of the Holy Quran continued throughout the tents and camps.

On the Day of Tarwiyah (8th Dhul-Hijjah), pilgrims spent most of their time in Mina. They remained engaged in prayer, remembrance of Allah, and preparations for the next phase of Hajj. The spiritual environment remained highly active despite the challenging weather.

The heat in Mina was intense during the day. Many pilgrims stayed inside their tents to avoid direct sunlight. Security personnel and volunteers provided water sprays at different locations to help reduce the impact of high temperatures.

In the evening, the weather became comparatively pleasant. Movement and activity increased across the streets and camps of Mina. Pilgrims came out for prayers and essential preparations for the next journey.

From Mina, the first groups of pilgrims began their departure towards the plains of Arafat. The movement started in the evening and continued gradually under organized arrangements.

On 9th Dhul-Hijjah, pilgrims will perform Waqoof-e-Arafat, the most important pillar of Hajj. All pilgrims are expected to reach Arafat before Zuhr prayer.

Some pilgrims in Mina reported issues regarding accommodation arrangements. However, officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs later resolved the situation and relocated affected pilgrims to proper facilities.

Health authorities have also issued guidance for pilgrims. The Saudi Ministry of Health has emphasized the importance of wearing the medical identification bracelet. It helps medical teams quickly access health information and provide timely emergency treatment when required.
