Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to the lack of solar power system on farms. Many farms in Balochistan do not have solar power systems. Due to shortage of electricity, farmers are unable to cultivate vegetables and other crops. Electricity is available for only about four hours a day and even the voltage is so slow that moters cannot run properly. Bulbs are very dim and fans do not work efficiently. As a result, crops are dying and framers are suffering huge losess. I request the government to provide solar power systems to farmers so that farmers can irrigate their land and increase agricultural production.
