According to initial post-mortem report, Zeeshan Hyder Sial was shot in head

A renowned lawyer was found shot dead in his house in Shahbaz Colony, Khairpur, on Saturday.

Police reached the spot and shifted the body to the Khairpur Civil Hospital.

A revolver was also recovered from his bedroom.

The B-Section station house officer (SHO) said that an investigation was underway to resolve the mysterious death of Zeeshan Hyder Sial.

He added that the revolver had been sent to the forensic lab to identify finger prints.
According to the preliminary post-mortem report, the lawyer was shot in the head.

But the police officer said it was premature to say that it was a suicide case.

He added that inmates of the house heard two shots.

The lawyer community has demanded a fair investigation to determine the cause of the death of their colleague.

Separately, the body of a youth belonging to the Hindu community was found hanging from the ceiling of a rice mill on the outskirts of Sujawal town on Saturday morning.

The body of Naresh Kumar alias Pappu, 36, was found hanging from ceiling of the mill.

Upon getting information, Sujawal police reached there and shifted the body to the Sujawal Civil Hospital.

The relatives of the deceased told the local media that Naresh went to the mill but did not return till late at night so they started searching for him until they got this terrible news. They said that he had no enmity with anyone in the area.

However, police had not ruled out the possibility that he had been murdered.

The version of police was fully supported by the initial post-mortem report that showed marks of torture on the body of the deceased.

Police further said that they had arrested three suspects and were interrogating them.
A representative of the local Hindu Panchayat, requesting anonymity, told this scribe that a meeting of their elders had been called where key decisions would be made.
