Reflecting on her challenging ordeal, Mahira revealed that the turmoil following the release of the movie ‘Raees’ had a profound impact on her emotional well-being.

The actress narrated how her life had been on an upward trajectory after the success of ‘Raees’ and ‘Verna’. However, the eruption of controversy abruptly altered her course. She recounted the intense backlash she faced from both nations, including incessant trolling, threatening calls, and a barrage of controversial tweets. Describing her experience, she disclosed, “My hands were shaking, sleep eluded me; it was then that I decided to visit a psychiatrist.”
