“I apologize for the delayed start of the hearing,” Chief Justice Qazi Faezs Isa remarked as he commenced the proceedings. He explained that the reason for the delay was to broadcast it live.
He mentioned that there are nine applications in the Supreme Court related to the Practice and Procedure Bill case, including three applications requesting the formation of a full bench, one of which came from the Bar Council.
The Supreme Court is currently discussing the details of the act and why it was invalidated by the previous chief justice.
The Chief Justice inquired about who would be presenting arguments in the Supreme Court regarding the Practice and Procedure Bill case and suggested keeping the arguments concise.
He also noted that there are individuals who are not familiar with the case and suggested that forming a full court might be the best solution for resolving it.
