Man kills wife before committing suicide

The man entered a private office at 8.30 am on Saturday, started fighting with his wife and shot her dead before shooting himself as well

A man attempted to commit suicide in Badin after allegedly killing his wife on Saturday.

According to the details, a 26-year old woman was reportedly shot dead by her husband inside a local private micro-finance bank.

The Matli town victim, who had joined the lending institution a few months back, was allegedly attacked and killed on the spot by her husband, who was from Tando Bago town. The police officials informed journalists that the couple married out of free-will some months ago after the victim got divorced by her ex-husband.

According to the police, the husband entered a private office with a pistol at about 8:30 in the morning, started quarrelling with his wife, and in a fit of anger, opened fire on her and then shot himself to commit suicide.

Both were shifted to Indus (civil) hospital, where the woman was declared dead upon arrival, while the man was referred to Civil Hospital Hyderabad in a critical condition. The reason behind the incident could not be ascertained immediately.
