Be it ‘Wapsi’, ‘Vasl’, ‘Dobara Phir Se’ or ‘Farar’ revamped, the duo of Mehreen Jabbar and Tooba Siddiqui is known for collaborating for the best of works. To the happiness of the fans of both the super-women of Pakistan’s showbiz industry, the two have re-united, this time for a drama serial titled ‘Jurm’.

Both Mehreen and Tooba announced the project on May 19, sharing photos from the reading sessions of the drama serial. The photos also showed Wahaj Ali and Dur-e-Fishan Saleem, thus promising a serial catering to senior and junior drama fans alike.

‘Jurm’ is being made under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment, which happens to be one of the leading productions of Pakistan, and will also be marking director Mehreen Jabbar’s comeback to the small screen after almost four years, during which she focused more on web-based projects.

Earlier, Mehreen Jabbar and Tooba Siddiqui collaborated many moons ago for the US based telefilm ‘Wapsi’, and then for the 2010 serial ‘Vasl’ which happened to be a mega-project shot partially in the US and partially in Pakistan. For web, the two recently teamed up for a revamped version of popular telefilm ‘Farar’ which is also slated for release this very year. Between these projects, Tooba also starred in Jabbar’s second feature film, ‘Dobara Phir Se’.

The release date for ‘Jurm’ has not been announced as yet, neither the name of the writer has been shared. However, the fact that Mehreen Jabbar is directing it is enough to make viewers know that a serial worth watching is in the making.
