Mehwish Hayat hints at TV drama comeback

Mehwish Hayat revealed that she might be starring in a Pakistani drama project by the year’s end.

The “London Nahi Jaunga” actress recently hinted at a return to the drama industry after six years while chatting with seasoned cricketer Shoaib Akhtar for his chat show on an OTT platform.

After the Marvel success, Hayat was asked if she was no longer interested in acting in dramas. The actor responded, “I am reading scripts [of dramas].”

She continued, “I want to do a drama because I haven’t appeared on television in almost five years since my last play, Dil Lagi. I’m therefore very eager to serve our Pakistani drama viewers.”

The star also discussed the value and “beauty” of the dramas, how they are loved throughout the nation and beyond borders, and how this piqued her attention once more.

According to Hayat, who is now reviewing scripts, she will be featured in a project by the end of the year.

Hayat mentioned her favorite contemporary actors, who bring out the best in her as an actor, during her appearance.

She mentioned Humayun Saeed and Fahad Mustafa by name, claiming that they are the actors who have given her the most acting inspiration and with whom she has collaborated the most.
