Met department forecasts more rainfall in coming days

The Meteorological Department has predicted more monsoon rains in different cities of the country.

The winds causing the rains will enter the upper and central areas today, due to which there is a possibility of rain in different cities from today to July 17.

Islamabad, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to receive rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms during the evening and night.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain will occur in Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, South Punjab and Upper Punjab from July 14 to 17.

At the same time, clouds will also rain in different cities of Balochistan including Barkhan, Loralai, Sibi, Zhob Kalat, Khuzdar, and Lasbela.

Due to heavy rains, low-lying areas are also likely to be inundated and landslides in the upper areas, in this context, the Meteorological Department and NDMA have directed all the concerned agencies to remain alert.

Karachi’s weather: Drizzle expected in the evening

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in the city of Quaid today is 29. The maximum temperature is expected to be 38 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature will be recorded at 4 degrees Celsius.

The humidity in Karachi is 72 kilometers, while the speed of south-to-west winds is 18 kilometers per hour.

The Meteorological Department has predicted drizzle in the city this evening, while also predicting rain at the end of July.
