Mickey Arthur to lead Pakistan’s coaching staff

Morne Morkel and Andrew Piotak are likely to be appointed bowling and batting coaches, respectively

Pakistan cricket team’s ex-head coach Mickey Arthur is likely to lead the coaching staff of the national team.

He previously served as the head coach, and during his tenure, Pakistan won the Champions Trophy. Mickey Arthur will continue to work with Derbyshire.

As per media reports, the coaching staff of the Pakistan team will be finalized this week and in this regard things have almost been settled. The new coaching staff will take over for the series against New Zealand.

Apart from Mickey Arthur, Grant Bradburn will be given important responsibilities in the coaching staff, while South African fast bowler Morne Morkel is likely to be appointed bowling and South Africa’s Andrew Piotak is likely to be appointed batting coach.

Morne Morkel played 86 Tests, 117 ODIs, and 44 T20Is, while Andrew Protek played one ODI.

The series between Pakistan and New Zealand is expected to start on April 14.
