Militants take control of CTD police station in Bannu

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police station has been partially taken over by militants who were being questioned.

According to Khorasan Diary, “There is a hostage situation between KP police and some high-profile militants that were recently arrested.”

An official on the scene informed the Khorasan Diary that the incident happened at the Counter Terrorism Department’s police station in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu District.

“The number of hostages and militants is still unknown, but there are some injuries reported,” the official said.

However, there has been no official confirmation from the KP government or police spokesperson.
