The Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected Dr. Fauzia’s request to meet her sister Dr. Aafia imprisoned in the United States and did not allow her to leave for the United States.
The court heard the case related to the return of Dr. Aafia, her health and meeting with her sister Dr. Fauzia.
The court issued notices to the parties for August 15 and said that the next in-camera hearing of the case will be held at 2 pm.
Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq heard the case. On the request of Dr. Fauzia, her lawyer Imran Shafiq appeared in the court.
The lawyer said that according to the court orders on August 8, Dr. Fauzia was to leave to meet her sister Dr. Aafia, but the Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected her request and she was not allowed to leave to meet her sister.
The court issued notices to the parties and adjourned the hearing of the case till August 15.
