In Sargodha, a 118-year-old place of worship for the Ahmadi community was vandalized.
Men arrived on April 16 at approximately 11 p.m. to destroy the minarets and dome of the Ahmadiyya mosque in Ghoghiat. Police were present there throughout, a spokesperson Amir Mehmood said.
The spokesperson declared that the 2014 judgment of Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jilani and Pakistan’s constitution were being flagrantly violated by the mob attacks and demolitions of Ahmadiyya places of worship. Religious minorities must be safeguarded, and this must cease right now, he said.
