Mohammed Ahmed is making his comeback in the field of writing. What are we to expect?

Veteran actor and writer Syed Mohammed Ahmed took a sabbatical from writing a few years ago after refusing to surrender before the commercial demands of producers.

It is from the 90s’ decade that we know Mohammed Ahmed for his characteristic style of writing short, tragi-comic serials catering to youngsters and adults alike. However, after having given popular lovely serials to the Pakistani drama industry such as “Tum Se Kehna Tha”, “Tere Siwa”, “Tum Hi Tou Ho”, “Azar Ki Ayegi Barat”, “Goya” and “Badtameez”, Ahmed shifted his focus solely towards acting because he couldn’t bring himself to write on saas-bahu topics.

Ever-since Ahmed has left writing, he has been making frequent appearances on screen, his popular serials being “Sabaat”, “Dulhan”, “Aulaad”, “Ehd e Wafa” and the list goes on.

It is after almost three years that Mohammed Ahmed has decided to write again, but not for the highly commercial medium the television has become. His work will be available to watch on Faseeh Bari Khan’s YouTube channel, “Kabaar-khana”. The news was also disclosed by Faseeh Bari himself, when he shared a photo of the first page of the script which Mohammed Ahmed has written for Faseeh’s channel. The script, probably of a short film like many others which will be releasing on “Kabaar-khana”, is titled “Gaaliyan”. Regarding the subject, however, nothing was shared.

Knowing Mohammed Ahmed for being the unique writer that he is, what we usually expect is light romance sprinkled with decent humour, but the title “Gaaliyan” insinuates something different, probably a revengeful response in the form of a loud dramatic piece to the television channel owners who have been playing havoc with the creativity of Pakistani drama writers.

Faseeh, the owner of the YouTube channel tells that “Gaaliyan” is coming soon. The final date and the cast has not been announced as yet.
