Mohsin Naqvi visits Pakistani Hajj camp in Mina

Mohsin Naqvi visited the Pakistani pilgrims’ camp in Mina on Tuesday to personally inspect arrangements and review the facilities being provided to thousands of Pakistani Hajj pilgrims ahead of the key days of Hajj.

During the visit, the federal interior minister toured various sections of the camp and interacted directly with pilgrims, particularly elderly worshippers, asking about accommodation, food, transportation, and medical facilities. Officials accompanying the minister briefed him on ongoing operations and support services available for pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage.

One of the most emotional moments of the visit came when Mohsin Naqvi met a 100-year-old Pakistani pilgrim. The minister praised the elderly man’s determination and spirit, calling it “deeply inspiring.” The interaction drew attention from fellow pilgrims, many of whom gathered to witness the touching exchange.

Pilgrims speaking with the minister expressed overall satisfaction with this year’s arrangements. Several said the facilities and management had improved significantly compared to previous years. Some, however, acknowledged facing minor difficulties but appreciated the quick response and cooperation from Pakistani support staff stationed in Saudi Arabia.

Addressing pilgrims during the visit, Mohsin Naqvi assured them that every pilgrim was “extremely important” to the government and that dedicated teams were present to resolve complaints and provide assistance around the clock.

The interior minister also praised Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Pakistan’s federal minister for religious affairs, and his team for their hard work in organizing Hajj operations.

Naqvi further highlighted the special immigration facility introduced this year by Saudi Arabia, allowing Pakistani pilgrims to complete immigration procedures before departure from Pakistan. He thanked Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj for their cooperation and support.

As millions of Muslims gather for Hajj 2026, Pakistani authorities say their focus remains on ensuring a safe, smooth, and spiritually fulfilling journey for every pilgrim.
