The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) inquiry report against Parvez Elahi and Moonis Elahi in the case of kickbacks and scams in lieu of government contracts has come to light.
According to NAB’s investigation report, Moonis Elahi has been found involved in corruption and money laundering and his assets increased as soon as Parvez Elahi became chief minister.
According to the report, Moonis Elahi took kickbacks in the form of contracts through his front men Azmat Hayat and Sohail Asghar. Since July 2022, they have deposited huge amounts of money in the bank accounts, both domestic and foreign.
NAB’s investigation report further states that Moonis Elahi purchased more than 384 kanals of land for Rs72 million after July 2022, which was apparently made with kickbacks and bribe money.
Moonis Elahi misused his father’s chief minister ship and received bribes by awarding contracts to favored contractors in Gujarat.
Moonis Elahi has been found to be involved in corruption, corrupt practices and money laundering, the report said.
It should be noted that Parvez Elahi is in NAB custody in the case of kickbacks in government contracts.
