In Islamabad, the police have imposed a ban on the entry of motorcycles into the Red Zone until 12th Muharram (31st July). In a statement on Thursday, the Islamabad Police spokesperson stated that the ban on motorcycle entry in the Red Zone has been enforced for security reasons. The spokesperson further added that shuttle services will be provided from three locations for entry into the Red Zone. The public has been appealed by the police not to enter the Red Zone on motorcycles. Prior to this, shuttle services were also operating to transport people from Islamabad to foreign embassies within the city. Additionally, a shuttle service is also being operated from Islamabad to Murree.
