Much-anticipated NA session adjourned without tabling of no-trust motion 

The first session of the National Assembly following the submission of the no-trust motion was adjourned without the tabling of the no-trust motion.

The session began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and prayers for late member of National Assembly Khayal Zaman and former president Rafiq Tarar.

Although according to reports, the no-trust motion was on the agenda, however, the speaker adjourned the session in the honor of departed souls.

Before the session, several political leaders talked to the media including Pakistan Peoples Party’s Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, who stated that today was the day of victory.

A day earlier, the 15-point order of the day was issued that included the no-confidence resolution as well.

According to parliamentary conventions, the very first session after the passing of any lawmaker is limited to prayers only.

The session has been adjourned till March 28.
