Nawaz Sharif to return in September, says Javed Latif

Imran Khan is followed by same group that supported Ayub, Yahya and Musharraf, claims PML-N leader

Ousted former three times Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would come to Pakistan in September, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) leader Javed Latif said and demanded a level playing field by saying that it was not possible to block one party and support the other.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad on Monday, Javed Latif warning of giving a second term to Imran Khan said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman has been followed by the same group that had supported Ayub Khan, Yahya Khan and Pervez Musharraf.

Demanding that without Nawaz Sharif there was no level playing field. PML-N leader further said that supporting one party and blocking another party is not possible.

Javed Latif also raised questions about the authenticity of the court’s rulings by giving references to old judgments in cases against Nawaz Sharif and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.

He also demanded that the voice of Justice Shaukat Siddiqui should be heard; adding that after 20 years Bhutto’s death was admitted as judicial murder.

Latif requested the judiciary to do justice without getting under any pressure and demanded the letter of Justice Qazi Faiz Isa be made public. He said that they had faced it in the past and will do this time also.

Talking about Nawaz Sharif’s health conditions and return to Pakistan, Javed Latif said that his doctors didn’t consider it appropriate for him to come home keeping in view of Pakistan’s weather and conditions. Talking about the former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar’s decision he also said that PML-N was not fairly treated.

On the other side, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that Imran Khan was conspiring to divide the Army at the behest of external sponsors. Speaking at a ceremony, he said that Imran Khan was taking funds from India and Israel for political sabotage.

He added that real freedom could not be achieved by destroying the country’s economy or plunging it into a debt crisis and destroying projects like CPEC.
