A man of Pakistani origin, Zanoor Jaffari, residing in New York City, has been apprehended by the authorities for the alleged murder of his wife and their two-year-old daughter. The tragic incident occurred in their home in Brentwood, with their five-year-old son present during the horrifying event.

The Suffolk County Police received a report from Jaffari’s mother, who also lived in the same house, about the stabbing. Upon arriving at the scene at 4:40 pm, they discovered the lifeless bodies of Jaffari’s wife, Misbah Batool (33), and their toddler, Izziah, in the bedroom. Thankfully, the couple’s son was found unharmed and is currently in the care of relatives.

Following the incident, Jaffari was taken to the hospital due to a suspected drug overdose, as reported by the police. After his recovery, he was charged with murder and has pleaded not guilty. He is now being held in custody without bail.

Prosecutors have stated that there were previous instances of domestic abuse by Jaffari towards his wife, before the family moved to their new home in Long Island City.
