Up to nine people have been arrested in Peshawar for their alleged involvement in leaking the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) using Bluetooth technology, according to reliable sources.

The arrests were made prior to the MDCAT test after authorities raised suspicions over certain registrations. Notably, nine candidates had registered for the test using the same mobile phone number, including a 46-year-old man.

Police sources have revealed that the crackdown on cheating in the MDCAT test has led to the arrest of over 100 individuals.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) had previously alerted all commissioners regarding the planned cheating in the test. ETEA also reported that news of the test leak had been circulating on social media platforms.
