No one above Constitution, using terrorists as shields not allowed, says PM

Pakistan will be brought out of difficulties, will not allow terrorists to take shelter, PM addresses ceremony at Thar

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that no one was above the law and constitution and that nobody will be allowed to use terrorists as shields. He said that giving shelter to terrorists was intolerable that will not be allowed. He said that the Constitution of Pakistan was above everything else.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also urged that Pakistan will be brought out of difficulties, and the enemies of development will have to face defeat.

The PM, while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the 1320 MW power project in Thar, added that because of the hard work of the Chinese and Pakistani authorities 330 megawatt Thar Nova project and 320-megawatt electricity project have been started in Thar by Shanghai electric company.

Moreover, the PM also inaugurated a coal mining project in Thar.

PM Shehbaz asserted, “Thar was a desert but now due to decades of hard work and planning it has not been developed, now this deserted area produces thousands of megawatts of electricity which are spreading throughout the whole country.”

“These projects will provide an earning opportunity to the people of Thar,’ PM added. The PM further stressed that Thar was nearly producing 2200 megawatts of power and if that electricity is produced using imported coal, Pakistan will incur enormous costs.

“That’s why we should be thankful to Almighty for the coal in Thar land because it will reduce the production cost and Thar will prosper,” Sharif said.

The PM also added that Karachi was known to be the revenue generator of Pakistan after Punjab but now Thar will be able to do that as well which will make Pakistan’s economy prosper.

“I want to say that we are also working on transmission lines to provide electricity to other parts but unfortunately in the past 4 years no work was done in this regard,” the PM added.

“China knows our difficulties, it is fully cooperating and the time has come to fully move the CPEC forward,” Sharif said.
