Popular film actress Noor Bukhari, who has also served as a host in multiple television shows took to Instagram this week to express her sadness over the fact that some companies still run their ads for which she modelled back in the times when she hadn’t embarked upon her religious journey and didn’t use to cover her head.
Noor specifically pointed out Noor Beauty Cream team, saying that the brand still sends on air the commercial which she did for them a few years ago, despite knowing that she has now changed her way of dressing up.
The actress was of the view that these companies should approach her first before running advertisements in which she isn’t observing her hijab.
“They are running the ad without my permission,” she said, adding that she reached out to the owner but he said that no such thing was written in the contract which would demand that the commercial should be stopped from airing if the model doesn’t allow it. Still, they demanded from Noor Bukhari a copy of the contract if she badly wants the Noor Beauty Cream ad to stop airing. The actress, not having a copy, expressed disappointment but confidently told them that the term for any such contract is not more than a year. Still, if the team is unwilling to respect her concern over her hijab-less commercials running on television, then she rests her case with Allah, Noor Bukhari was observed saying.
Noor now stays away from films and dramas but has her YouTube channel through which she remains in touch with her fans. In her vlogs as well, the actress always has her head covered now.
