Not interacting with Afghan Taliban is not solution, says Bilawal Bhutto

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that not having contact with the Taliban in Afghanistan is not the solution to the problem.

In an interview with Arab TV on the sidelines of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the Afghan government is investigating the attack on the Pakistani embassy in Afghanistan.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that we asked the Afghan interim government to fulfil their promises, both Pakistan and Afghanistan are facing terrorism, and Pakistan also urged the Afghan interim government regarding the education of girls.

The five-day meeting of the World Economic Forum is underway in Davos from January 16 to 20, in which 2700 delegates including 52 heads of state and government officials from 130 countries expected to participate.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto and Minister of State Hina Rabbani Khar went to represent Pakistan at the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said that the recent actions of the Taliban administration had been very disappointing.

The Qatari foreign minister said, “Other Muslim countries are also being consulted to talk to the Taliban, it is not an easy task, but it is necessary to continue the effort.”
