Obscene videos and drugs scandal at Islamia University of Bahawalpur

The Chief Security Officer of Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB), Ijaz Shah, has been arrested by the police.

They reportedly found ice (crystal meth) and aphrodisiacs in his possession, along with objectionable videos involving university officials and students on his two mobile phones.

Based on an FIR filed by SI Mohammad Afzal Nawaz, the incident occurred when the police signaled a car to stop at a checkpoint within Baghdad Al-Jadeed Police limits. The driver attempted to flee, but the officers managed to stop the car. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 10 grams of Ice and an aphrodisiac, and the driver identified himself as the IUB chief security officer.

The FIR mentioned that two mobile phones were seized from the suspect, which were alleged to contain explicit videos and photographs of women, involving university staff members and students.

According to the police, Shah admitted to using and selling Ice on the university campus, and the objectionable photos and videos were of individuals from various departments within the university.

The police explained that the car search was part of their ongoing efforts to eliminate drug dealers from educational institutions. Additionally, IUB spokesperson Shahzad Khalid stated that the matter was also under internal investigation by the university.
