An old property dispute claimed the life of a youth in Gujo town of district Thatta on Sunday.
According to sources, a person named Najaf Katiyar killed his nephew as they were at loggerhead over a property row. The area police acted on a tip-off given by the relatives of the deceased. The area SHO said that interrogation from the accused was underway and the body of the deceased was moved to the government hospital Gujo for autopsy.
According to the initial postmortem report, the deceased sustained bullet wounds in the abdomen and died owing to excessive bleeding. No case of the incident was registered till the filing of this report.
Separately a man was found tortured to death within the limits of Ladiyon Police Station near Chuhar Jamali Town of district Sujawal late Saturday night. According to family members, the deceased identified as Ramzan Jatoi was standing outside his house on late Saturday night at around 11 PM, after some time they heard the hue and cries of Ramazan and when they reached there they saw him lying in the pool of blood and his cell-phone was lying on the ground.
The brother of the deceased told media men that they had no enmity with anyone; however, it seemed that his brother was killed over resisting a robbery bid. Meanwhile, police said that the throat of the deceased was found silt as he had been killed with any edgy weapon, and the body bore marks of torture as well.
