Osman Khalid Butt regrets not doing ‘Dobara’ with Hadiqa

Osman Khalid Butt may be very choosy and confident all the same about the characters he plays, but it has been revealed that there was one such drama serial which the ‘Dyar-e-Dil’ fame actor regretted not doing.

Butt recently made his appearance on Nida Yasir’s morning show along with Maya Ali, and when asked if there was any such project which he regretted not going for, he named ‘Dobara’, written by Sarwat Nazir and directed by Danish Nawaz.

Starring Hadiqa Kiani, Bilal Ashraf, Jawed Sheikh, Sakina Sammo and multiple others, ‘Dobara’ happens to be one of the most popular serials running these days, with the majority not knowing that Osman Khalid Butt was offered the project.

When asked why he didn’t do it, Osman Khalid Butt had his reasons. As much as he wanted to do it, he could not do so owing to a lot of commitments which he needed to fulfill during that time period, along with the burden of shifting which he had taken upon himself.

“The shoot began quite suddenly, and I did not get enough time to mull it over or to ask the team to wait for me to get free,” told Butt, informing that Danish Nawaz started working on ‘Dobara’ right after ‘Chupke Chupke’. Having just done ‘Chupke Chupke’, the actor couldn’t manage another project right after it.

Having said that, the ‘Baaghi’ actor stated that he usually did not regret saying ‘no’ to offers, because he did with confidence what he did, reading his scripts thoroughly and then deciding if the character offered carried any depth or not. However, Butt revealed that ‘Dobara’ was one such project he wished he could have said yes to despite all the busyness he had indulged himself in during the days when it was being shot.
