Pak army launches operation against terrorists in Zhob, Balochistan: ISPR

The Pakistan army has launched an operation against terrorists in Sambaza, Zhob, Balochistan, which is underway for 96 hours based on reliable intelligence.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) the reason to launch this operation is to prevent terrorists from using a few suspected routes to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, enter KP via the interprovincial border, and target civilians and security forces.

A group of terrorists was intercepted on Sunday morning as a result of ongoing surveillance and area sanitization, according to ISPR. Terrorists started shooting at the Security Forces as they set up blocking positions to cut off their escape routes.

One terrorist was killed during the ensuing fierce exchange of fire, while Sepoy Haq Nawaz embraced Shahadat and two other soldiers were hurt.

The terrorists were also supported by the facilitators from across the border through fire, as per the reports.

The sanitization operation is still underway in order to capture any remaining culprits.
