Major Mian Abdullah Shah was martyred during an operation by security forces in Khyber district.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on the intervening night of July 5 and 6, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the area of Khyber district on information about the presence of terrorists.
Major Abdullah spotted a group of terrorists while the work of setting up barricades to block the escape routes of the terrorists was going on. Major Abdullah Shaheed was leading the operation. He belonged to Kohat.
Major Mian Abdullah Shah, the brave 33-year-old son of the nation, bravely fought and embraced martyrdom as a result of heavy exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists.
Three terrorists and their facilitators have been arrested, the ISPR said. Combing operations are underway to eliminate terrorists in the area.
“Pakistan’s security forces are committed to eradicating the scourge of terrorism and such sacrifices of our soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR said.
It may be recalled that a suicide bomber blew himself up along with a vehicle in Miranshah area of North Waziristan yesterday, in which three Soldiers of The Pakistan Army were martyred and three innocent civilians were injured.
ISPR says that the purpose of the suicide bomber was to target the security forces post, but the soldiers on duty stopped the suicide bomber in time.
