Pakistan-Kuwait held Joint Inauguration Ceremony on 60th anniversary of relationship

Ministry of Foreign Affairs has held a Pakistan-Kuwait joint inauguration ceremony on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Pakistan-Kuwait diplomatic relationship.

As per reports, high-level events will be held throughout the year to mark the 60th anniversary.

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar and the Ambassador of Kuwait to Pakistan took a special part in the ceremony.

Kuwaiti Ambassador to Pakistan Nasar Abdul Rahman also addressed the event.

Nasar asserted that Pakistan and Kuwait shared historically deep brotherly relations and called religion and the history base of these relations.

“Kuwait supported Pakistan in every difficult hour, including the 2005 earthquake and the recent floods. Pakistan sent a team of expert doctors to Kuwait during the Corona epidemic,” He added.

“Relations between the two countries are progressing rapidly,” Kuwaiti Ambassador claimed.

Minister of State for external Affairs congratulated Kuwait on the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

Hina said, “The hearts of the people of both countries have been beating together for centuries. The relations between Pakistan and Kuwait are becoming more stable with time. Pak-Kuwait Investment Company is playing an important role in the economic cooperation between the two countries. Kuwaiti renewable energy projects are important for the energy sector in Pakistan.”

Rabbani Khar further stated that a large number of Pakistani citizens live in Kuwait and that during the invasion of Kuwait in the nineties, Pakistani Awan was with the Kuwaiti people.

“Kuwait came forward to help Pakistan during the recent devastating floods. Pakistani doctors served in Kuwait during the Corona epidemic.
Pakistan is determined to further strengthen relations with Kuwait,” Hina Rabbani Khar.

She also expressed Pakistan’s willingness to work together in the IT and food security sectors with Kuwait.
