Pakistan team led by Captain Babar Azam will take on New Zealand in the first of the five T20I at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The Men in Green will play their first T20 International match since the T20 World Cup final against England in October of last year.

However, Pakistan will enter the match with an edge because they have triumphed in 10 of the last 18 games played in the Gaddafi Stadium since 2015. In addition to this, Pakistan holds the advantage because they had beaten New Zealand four times in the previous five games.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) quoted Babar Azam in a press release as saying, “It feels amazing to be back in Lahore wearing Pakistani colors. This series promises to be entertaining as we bring together the exciting youthful potential and the experience of older players in this solid group.”

It is uncharted ground for the Kiwis since they have never played a T20I in Pakistan.

Gaddafi Stadium will host T20I matches on April 14, 15, and 17, and then the action shifts to Rawalpindi cricket stadium where the last two games will be played on April 20 and 24.
